Why This Screening Matters
Proceeds from this event support both the Center for Africana Futures and the documentary film itself.
To preserve Barbara Jordan’s story forever, we are raising $40,000 to secure a perpetual archival license for the documentary. This license ensures that The Inquisitor can be shown without restriction at Texas Southern University; in schools and universities; for civic, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations; at libraries, conferences, and community events; and throughout Houston and across the country.
This is a long-term investment in Black political memory, civic education, and public history.
Tickets and Registration
Tickets are available at multiple levels for students, educators, community members, and supporters. Space is limited. Early registration is encouraged.
VIP Tickets and Giving Levels
VIP tickets and giving levels are available for those who wish to deepen their support of the Center for Africana Futures and help secure the film’s archival future. Benefits may include priority seating, invitations to special receptions, recognition in event materials, and direct contribution toward the Barbara Jordan archival license.
Your support helps ensure this film—and the history it carries—remains accessible to students, educators, and communities for generations to come.
We look forward to welcoming you for an evening that reflects the power of film to educate, challenge, and inspire civic imagination.
